Club and Official Elective
Founded the VEX Robotics Club with over 100 members. Worked extensively with the Parent Teacher Association to secure funding. Arranged outreach events and took the team to local competitions. Secured corporate sponsors and raised enough money to purchase the field, sponsor a construction project to expand the robotics room, and stock the school makerspace with machine tools. Managed inventory and marketing for the club. Served as a volunteer, coach, and scrimmage referee. In high school, came back to mentor and grow the club. In just 3 years, we were able to send 3 teams to worlds and win the California State Championships. Now the club is an official school elective.
Organized South Bay High School hackathon. Made sponsor calls, managed financials, planned operations, and signed binding legal contracts. Raised over $7000 in corporate sponsorship from our 14 sponsors.
Startup
Competed in annual Junior Achievement Entrepreneurship Summit. Spent 3 months under the mentorship of Deloitte employees to build a business startup called BambooU that sold eco-friendly wooden utensils to customers like Pressed Juicery in Los Gatos. Learned about supply chain and branding.
