Bookworm is a progressive web app dedicated to interpreting and summarizing wikipedia articles, classic novels, textbooks, and the news to increase student efficiency by reducing the time for studying. Bookworm has three main functions: recognizing text from images and summarizing text, summarizing text from a text input, and using natural language processing to pick out a subject out of a text input. Using NLP, an API called spaCy, and a database of the English language we look for the subject entered and return a timeline of events describing the subject.
